Drug Rehab That Still Allows You to Go to Work & School
Although it is possible to stop using drugs and alcohol on your own, taking part in an addiction treatment program can help better set the groundwork for a successful recovery. Like many addiction treatment centers, at Quantum Behavioral Health, we have a wide variety of drug rehab options. One of the most essential parts of being successful in the recovery process is to be comfortable with the setting and the recovery resources at your disposal at the treatment facility that you choose.
At Quantum Behavioral Health we offer substance use and mental health treatment options that are custom tailored for each of our clients. This way we can address the issues they have with substance misuse and any related mental health issues they may be dealing with or want to work through as part of a comprehensive drug abuse or drug addiction treatment program. Our outpatient drug addiction treatment is designed to help anyone struggling with any type of substance, including alcohol abuse and alcohol addiction. No one should ever feel like they need to deal with substance abuse and mental health issues on their own.
If you or a loved one is struggling with abuse or addiction and would like to hear more about our substance abuse treatment programs available to people in the Newark New Jersey area, call us today.
There are a lot of different recovery programs available to people in the Newark NJ area. One of the biggest questions people have about a rehab program in general is whether they will need to take time away from work or school or other responsibilities. In some cases, the answer is yes. If you take part in an inpatient rehab program at a drug rehab center, you will most likely miss time at work or school. That doesn’t make inpatient drug programs a bad idea, they just aren’t the perfect fit for everyone.
At Quantum Behavioral Health, we offer levels of care that address the problem of missing work or school through our multiple outpatient programs. Outpatient treatment at our recovery center allows our clients to maintain their work or school and life balance, as they receive treatment for substance abuse, addiction, and mental health issues. All of our treatment programs are customized for each individual client so that their specific needs are met. Substance use disorders have different effects on each individual and at Quantum we know that there’s no one treatment plan that’s going to fit everyone. When you initially speak to one of our counselors, you will review all of our available mental health and substance issue treatment options.
Benefits of Outpatient Drug Rehab
Inpatient drug treatment can be very beneficial to a lot of people struggling with substance abuse. For example, we strongly suggest that anyone who needs to go through alcohol detox or any type of drug detox, including opioid detox, heroin detox, or cocaine detox should take part in inpatient medically supervised detox programs. Once someone has completed an inpatient rehab or drug detox program, it is also advised that they continue their counseling in an outpatient setting.
There are a lot of benefits when it comes to outpatient drug rehab and the biggest one is probably the flexibility it offers clients. Not only are there multiple programs to choose from, including intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization plans, there is also counseling care available first thing in the morning, at lunch time, in the late afternoon and evening, and on weekends to accommodate different people’s schedules and responsibilities.
Another benefit is the ability to change levels of care as needed. At Quantum Behavioral health we are always monitoring each of our client’s progress within their treatment plan and discussing possible changes as needed. We pride ourselves on our quality of care and making adjustments to client treatment programs is part of our core protocols.
What to Expect During Outpatient Drug Rehab
At rehab centers like Quantum Behavioral Health we try to make the administrative portion of our mental health and addiction programs as simple as possible. We know that alcohol and drug treatment can be stressful and starting the process can be one of the biggest hurdles. As when you begin any type of health treatment, our clients work with our medical professionals and administrative staff to collect general and mental health information. This way the most personalized plan can be developed for each patient based on factors like have they already been in a program at a detox center or residential rehab, do they have any underlying health issues regardless if they are related to drug addiction or alcohol addiction, and are they dealing with any cooccurring disorders, like an eating disorder, anxiety, or depression.
Once all of this data has been gathered, our addictions treatment staff develops a schedule for the client based on the individual program they will begin. This can be traditional outpatient care, an IOP, or PHP depending on the exact needs of the individual patient. When necessary and appropriate, loved ones are involved in the scheduling process, too.
How Long Does Outpatient Rehab in Toms River Last with Quantum Behavioral Health?
Most treatment centers, including Quantum, have programs of many different lengths to suit the counseling and therapy needs of all of their patients. In general, a specific length of time is not typically assigned to outpatient addiction treatment. This is because one of the main goals of treatment is for the patient to be able to go through their day to day life without regularly scheduled counseling sessions. This process and goal takes varying lengths of time for different people. Individual programs, like IOPs and PHPs often are structured over a number of weeks, usually from eight to 12, but the overall recovery process happens at a different pace for each person struggling with addiction.
Outpatient rehab can also be a type of treatment that someone begins their recovery with and is the only environment in which they receive treatment, or it can be part of a larger continuum of care. We are always available to coordinate any type of care that works for our clients, including aftercare and alumni support where we organize Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program)
An IOP, or Intensive Outpatient Program, is a type of drug rehab or alcohol rehab that can be useful for patients in a number of different scenarios. First, it is a very good option for someone who has just completed inpatient drug rehab, alcohol rehab, drug detox, or alcohol detox as the number of therapy sessions is more than takes place during typical outpatient care. In this way, an IOP can be used as a bridge between inpatient treatment, and the around the clock care and support a person receives, and an outpatient care program. Second, if a person is not able to take part in inpatient drug rehab, they can begin their care with an Intensive Outpatient Program, again, in order to receive a heightened level of treatment as they begin their addiction recovery. A third way an IOP can be useful for both therapists and patients is when a counselor determines that the progress a patient is making is not up to what they expected, and this type of program can be used for a limited time boost in how much therapy a person is receiving each week.
PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program)
Like an IOP, a PHP, or Partial Hospitalization Program, is a way for someone to receive a higher level of care while still taking part in therapy in an outpatient setting. This means that they do not need to stay in a treatment facility overnight, and can return to their home each evening. Quantum, and other rehab centers in Newark, can also arrange for sober living home accommodations for clients who can use the extra support of a drug and alcohol free housing environment. A sober living in Newark can be a big help with relapse prevention, especially in the initial stages of recovery. An IOP or PHP typically includes individual counseling and group sessions as part of the program.
Which Outpatient Treatment, IOP or PHP, Is Right for Me?
There are a lot of factors that go into determining what the right abuse and mental health treatment is for an individual. That’s why it’s important for you or your loved ones to ask as many questions as you need to when speaking to an addiction resource to ensure you are comfortable with the proposed program. The type of behavioral therapy a person needs, their schedule, whether they have a dual diagnosis, and other details all go into choosing the best substance abuse treatment for someone.
